Free Diabetes Training for Local Schools
We help to ensure all children in schools have teachers and staff members that are fully informed on type 1 diabetes.
Schools in Leicester and Leicestershire are eligible to attend a free online training session delivered by the local NHS Diabetes Team.
School Training has a new home
Diabetes School Training can now be found on the Educate Diabetes website.
We are now using a flipped-learning experience. There is now e-learning and a webinar to gain your certificate in school diabetes education.
Just join the free course on Educate Diabetes and work through the online training.
There are multiple webinar dates to sign up to over the year which you can join once you have done the e-learning.

Delivered by the NHS
Get a training session created and delivered to you by NHS Diabetes experts.
The Diabetes Team from the Leicester Children's Hospital will give staff members the vital information they need to know in order to manage any school pupils with type-1 diabetes.
Supported by the Local Authorities
The session is supported by the Leicestershire Schools Authority.
They help provide the most up-to-date guidance and resources for the training.

Watch and learn from fun animated Deapp Education videos provided by HEAL.med.
We also help to arrange the training through our online platform to save the NHS staff lots of time!
